ATLAS: BUICK STATION WAGON
The early versions came with painted bumpers. However they came without the roof rack. Later in production these beautiful BUICK STATION WAGON’s came with chrome bumpers and a CHROME roof rack for luggage. The roof rack is extremely delicate and almost always found broken. As with all ATLAS cars, the chrome wears away quite easily. It is obvious why these cars are rarely found in MINT condition.Consider yourself fortunate if you own one of these in any CONDITION!
I am extremely fortunate to own NINE of the CHROME bumper wagons in NINE different colors. The ROYAL BLUE you see in the photo and a powder blue, red, grey, turquoise, yellow, sea green, pea green and a tan. I know of a dark grey, black, bright yellow and a white. Contrastingly, I only own two of the painted bumper wagons. One in the grey that you see and a white. I know of a black, tan and british racing green.
